Description

Baklava Crinkle Cake is a crispy, syrup-soaked dessert that blends the rich flavors of traditional baklava with a fun, easy crinkle-cake twist. Perfect for holidays or everyday indulgence.


Ingredients

1 pack of filo dough (thawed)

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped pistachios or walnuts

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup sugar

½ cup water

2 tbsp honey or orange blossom water

1 tbsp lemon juice


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease baking dish.

  • Crinkle buttered filo sheets into pan until full.

  • Sprinkle nut mixture between folds if desired.

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden.

  • Prepare syrup: simmer sugar, water, lemon juice, and honey for 10 mins.

  • Pour warm syrup over hot cake. Let sit for 1 hour.

Notes

Substitute coconut oil for vegan version.

Add orange zest for extra flavor.
