Description
Chocolate banana nice cream is a healthy, dairy-free frozen dessert made with just frozen bananas, cocoa powder, and your choice of plant-based milk. It’s quick, customizable, and perfect for guilt-free snacking or dessert.
Ingredients
3 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2–4 tablespoons non-dairy milk (like almond or oat)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 tablespoon maple syrup or date syrup (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Slice ripe bananas and freeze them until solid (at least 4 hours or overnight).
2. Place frozen banana slices in a blender or food processor.
3. Blend until crumbly, then add cocoa powder, milk, vanilla, and salt.
4. Continue blending until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed.
5. Taste and add maple syrup if you’d like it sweeter, then blend again.
6. Serve immediately for soft-serve style or freeze 1–2 hours for a firmer scoop.
Notes
To store, place in an airtight container with parchment paper pressed on top to reduce freezer burn. Enjoy within 3–5 days for best texture.
Try mix-ins like peanut butter, cacao nibs, or mint extract for variation.
Avocado or mango can be used as a banana substitute, though flavor and texture will differ.
