Confetti Yogurt Frosting: Light, Colorful, and Guilt-Free

  • Author: Casey Morgan
  • Total Time: 10 minutes + chilling
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x

Description

This creamy confetti yogurt frosting is made with thick Greek yogurt, natural sweeteners, and festive sprinkles. Light, tangy, and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt (or strained plain yogurt)

23 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cornstarch or powdered milk (for thickening)

2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles

Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

1. If using plain yogurt, strain it through cheesecloth in the fridge for 2–6 hours to remove excess water.

2. In a bowl, whisk together the strained yogurt, sweetener, and vanilla extract.

3. Add cornstarch or powdered milk and whisk until fully dissolved.

4. Fold in rainbow sprinkles gently without overmixing.

5. Chill frosting for 30 minutes to allow it to firm up before using.

Notes

For thicker results, use full-fat Greek yogurt or strain longer.

To make it dairy-free, substitute coconut yogurt and use additional cornstarch for texture.

Frost cupcakes just before serving and store extras in the fridge.
