Description

A soft, gooey cookie mug cake made in under 2 minutes with pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp granulated sugar

1 egg yolk

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Pinch of baking soda

2 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Melt butter in a microwave-safe mug.

2. Stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla.

3. Mix in the egg yolk until smooth.

4. Add flour and baking soda, stir gently.

5. Fold in chocolate chips and press a few on top.

6. Microwave on high for 45–60 seconds until edges are set.

7. Cool for 1 minute before eating.

Notes

Use a 12 oz mug for best results.

Don’t overcook—the center should look slightly shiny for a gooey bite.

Add a square of chocolate or Nutella to the center for extra indulgence.
