Description
Dubai chocolate cake is a rich, dense dessert made with dark chocolate, almond flour, and a ganache glaze. Inspired by Middle Eastern luxury desserts.
Ingredients
200g dark chocolate (70%+)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup almond flour
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional: saffron or cardamom
Ganache: 100g dark chocolate + 1/2 cup cream
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line and grease an 8-inch cake pan.
2. Melt chocolate and butter over a double boiler.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
4. Combine the chocolate mix with the egg mix.
5. Fold in almond flour, salt, and optional spices.
6. Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes.
7. Cool fully. Make ganache by mixing hot cream with chocolate.
8. Pour ganache over cooled cake and chill slightly.
Notes
Use the best quality chocolate for bold flavor.
Edible gold or pistachios make elegant toppings.
Pairs perfectly with Arabic coffee.
